GED စာမေးပွဲအကြောင်း မိတ်ဆက်

GED (General Educational Development) စာမေးပွဲဆိုတာ အမေရိကန်ပြည်ထောင်စုရဲ့ အထက်တန်းကျောင်း (High School Diploma) အောင်မြင်မှုနဲ့ တန်းတူအသိအမှတ်ပြုပေးတဲ့ နိုင်ငံတကာအဆင့်မီ စာမေးပွဲတစ်ခု ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ပုံမှန် အထက်တန်းပညာရေးကို အကြောင်းအမျိုးမျိုးကြောင့် မပြီးဆုံးခဲ့ရသူတွေ သို့မဟုတ် နိုင်ငံတကာ တက္ကသိုလ်တွေကို အချိန်တိုအတွင်း ဆက်လက်တက်ရောက်လိုသူတွေအတွက် အလွန်အသုံးဝင်တဲ့ လမ်းကြောင်းတစ်ခု ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

ကျက်မှတ်ဖြေဆိုရတာမျိုးမဟုတ်ဘဲ၊ လက်တွေ့ကမ္ဘာအတွက် လိုအပ်တဲ့ စဉ်းစားတွေးခေါ်မှုစွမ်းရည် (Critical Thinking) ကို အဓိကထား စစ်ဆေးတဲ့ ပညာရေးရွေးချယ်မှုတစ်ခုလည်း ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

စစ်ဆေးသည့် ဘာသာရပ် ၄ ခု

GED မှာ အချက်အလက်တွေကို ခွဲခြမ်းစိတ်ဖြာနိုင်စွမ်းကို အဓိကထား စစ်ဆေးတဲ့ ဘာသာရပ် ၄ ခု ပါဝင်ပါတယ် –

  • Reasoning Through Language Arts (RLA): အင်္ဂလိပ်စာ ဖတ်ရှုနားလည်နိုင်စွမ်း၊ အကြောင်းအရာကို ဆန်းစစ်လေ့လာနိုင်စွမ်းနဲ့ အက်ဆေး (Extended Response) ရေးသားနိုင်စွမ်းတို့ကို စစ်ဆေးပါတယ်။ (အချိန် – ၁၅၀ မိနစ်)
  • Mathematical Reasoning: အခြေခံသင်္ချာ၊ အက္ခရာသင်္ချာ (Algebra) နဲ့ ဂျီဩမေတြီ (Geometry) ဆိုင်ရာ ပုစ္ဆာဖြေရှင်းနိုင်စွမ်းကို စစ်ဆေးပါတယ်။ (အချိန် – ၁၁၅ မိနစ်)
  • Science: ဇီဝဗေဒ၊ ရူပဗေဒ၊ ဓာတုဗေဒ နဲ့ ကမ္ဘာ့မြေပြင်သိပ္ပံစတဲ့ သိပ္ပံဘာသာရပ်တွေရဲ့ အခြေခံသဘောတရားတွေကို ဖတ်ရှုနားလည်နိုင်စွမ်း စစ်ဆေးပါတယ်။ (အချိန် – ၉၀ မိနစ်)
  • Social Studies: အမေရိကန်သမိုင်း၊ ကမ္ဘာ့သမိုင်း၊ ဘောဂဗေဒ နဲ့ ပထဝီဝင် ဆိုင်ရာ အချက်အလက်တွေနဲ့ ဂရပ် (Graph) တွေကို ခွဲခြမ်းစိတ်ဖြာနိုင်စွမ်းကို စစ်ဆေးပါတယ်။ (အချိန် – ၇၀ မိနစ်)

အမှတ်ပေးစနစ် နှင့် အောင်မှတ်

ဘာသာရပ်တစ်ခုစီအတွက် အများဆုံးရမှတ်က ၂၀၀ ဖြစ်ပြီး၊ အောင်မြင်ဖို့အတွက် အနည်းဆုံး ၁၄၅ မှတ် ရရှိရမှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ရမှတ်တွေအပေါ် မူတည်ပြီး အဆင့် ၃ ဆင့် ခွဲခြားထားပါတယ် –

၁၆၅ – ၁၇၄ GED® College Ready ကောလိပ်အဆင့် သင်ခန်းစာတွေ သင်ယူဖို့ အပြည့်အဝ အသင့်ဖြစ်နေပြီလို့ သတ်မှတ်ပါတယ်။
၁၇၅ – ၂၀၀ GED® College Ready + Credit တက္ကသိုလ်အချို့မှာ ဘာသာရပ်ကင်းလွတ်ခွင့် (Credit) အထိ ရရှိနိုင်ပါတယ်။

Introduction to the GED Test

The GED (General Educational Development) test is an internationally recognized examination that is equivalent to a United States High School Diploma. It serves as a highly valuable alternative pathway for individuals who did not complete traditional high school education or for those aiming to enter international universities in a shorter timeframe.

Rather than relying on rote memorization, it is an educational choice that primarily assesses the critical thinking skills necessary for the real world.

The 4 Test Subjects

The GED consists of 4 subjects that focus on assessing your analytical skills:

  • Reasoning Through Language Arts (RLA): Assesses reading comprehension, analytical skills, and the ability to write an essay (Extended Response). (Time – 150 minutes)
  • Mathematical Reasoning: Tests problem-solving skills in basic math, Algebra, and Geometry. (Time – 115 minutes)
  • Science: Evaluates reading and understanding of scientific concepts in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Earth Science. (Time – 90 minutes)
  • Social Studies: Assesses the ability to analyze historical facts, economics, geography, and graphs. (Time – 70 minutes)

Scoring System and Passing Marks

The maximum score for each subject is 200, and a minimum of 145 points is required to pass. Based on the scores, there are 3 achievement levels:

Score Achievement Level Meaning
145 – 164 GED® Passing Score Equivalent to high school graduation; eligible to apply to universities.
165 – 174 GED® College Ready Considered fully prepared to learn college-level coursework.
175 – 200 GED® College Ready + Credit May be eligible to receive college credits or subject exemptions at certain universities.
