RLA ဘာသာရပ်ဆိုင်ရာ လေ့လာမှု လမ်းညွှန် (Guide to RLA)

GED ရဲ့ **Reasoning Through Language Arts (RLA)** ဘာသာရပ်ဟာ ကျောင်းသားတွေရဲ့ အင်္ဂလိပ်စာ ဖတ်ရှုနားလည်နိုင်စွမ်း၊ အကြောင်းအရာတွေကို ဆန်းစစ်လေ့လာနိုင်စွမ်းနဲ့ စာရေးသားနိုင်စွမ်းတို့ကို အဓိက စစ်ဆေးတာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ဝေါဟာရ (Vocabulary) တွေကို အလွတ်ကျက်မှတ်ရတာထက် ပေးထားတဲ့ စာပိုဒ်တွေကို နားလည်အောင် ဖတ်ပြီး အကျိုးအကြောင်း ဆင်ခြင်နိုင်ဖို့က ပိုပြီး အရေးကြီးပါတယ်။

မေးခွန်းပုံစံနှင့် ပါဝင်သည့် အပိုင်းများ

RLA စာမေးပွဲကို အဓိကအားဖြင့် အပိုင်း (၃) ပိုင်းနဲ့ ဖွဲ့စည်းထားပါတယ် –

  • Reading for Meaning (ဖတ်ရှုနားလည်ခြင်း): သုတ၊ ရသ (Informational & Literary) စာပိုဒ်တွေကို ဖတ်ပြီး အဓိကအချက် (Main Idea) ရှာဖွေတာ၊ စာရေးသူရဲ့ ရည်ရွယ်ချက်ကို ကောက်ချက်ချတာတွေကို စစ်ဆေးပါတယ်။
  • Identifying and Creating Arguments (အကျိုးအကြောင်းဆင်ခြင်မှုများကို ဆန်းစစ်ခြင်း): စာရေးသူရဲ့ အဆိုပြုချက် (Claims) တွေနဲ့ အထောက်အထား (Evidence) တွေ ဘယ်လောက်ခိုင်လုံမှုရှိလဲ ဆိုတာကို အကဲဖြတ်ရပါတယ်။
  • Grammar and Language Conventions (သဒ္ဒါနှင့် ဘာသာစကားအသုံးပြုမှု): ဝါကျတွေမှာ မှားယွင်းနေတဲ့ သဒ္ဒါ၊ သတ်ပုံ (Punctuation)၊ ပုဒ်ဖြတ်ပုဒ်ရပ်တွေကို Drop-down ပုံစံလေးတွေနဲ့ ရွေးချယ်ပြီး ရှာဖွေပြင်ဆင်ပေးရတဲ့ အပိုင်းဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

Extended Response (အက်ဆေးရေးသားခြင်း)

RLA စာမေးပွဲရဲ့ အရေးကြီးဆုံးအပိုင်းတစ်ခုကတော့ Extended Response လို့ခေါ်တဲ့ အက်ဆေးရေးသားရတဲ့ အပိုင်းဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ကွဲလွဲနေတဲ့ အမြင်နှစ်ခုပါတဲ့ စာပိုဒ်နှစ်ခုကို ဖတ်ပြီး၊ ဘယ်ဘက်က ပိုခိုင်လုံတယ်ဆိုတာကို အထောက်အထားတွေနဲ့ အက်ဆေးရေးသားရမှာပါ။ ဒီအပိုင်းအတွက် အချိန် ၄၅ မိနစ် သီးသန့် ပေးထားပါတယ်။

စာမေးပွဲအချိန် သတ်မှတ်ချက်

RLA စာမေးပွဲတစ်ခုလုံးအတွက် စုစုပေါင်း အချိန် ၁၅၀ မိနစ် (၂ နာရီခွဲ) ရရှိမှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ အက်ဆေး (Extended Response) မရေးခင်မှာ အနားယူဖို့ ၁၀ မိနစ် (10-minute break) အချိန်ရရှိမှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

Guide to Reasoning Through Language Arts (RLA)

The GED’s **Reasoning Through Language Arts (RLA)** test evaluates your reading comprehension, your ability to analyze arguments, and your writing skills. It is not about memorizing complex vocabulary; rather, it focuses on your ability to read passages, process information, and think critically.

Test Structure and Content

The RLA test is primarily divided into three skill areas:

  • Reading for Meaning: You will read both informational and literary texts. You’ll be tested on your ability to find the main idea, draw conclusions, and understand the author’s purpose.
  • Identifying and Creating Arguments: You will evaluate claims made in a text and determine whether the author provides strong, valid evidence to support those claims.
  • Grammar and Language Conventions: You will be given texts with grammatical, punctuation, and capitalization errors. You will use drop-down menus to edit and correct these sentences.

The Extended Response (Essay)

A crucial part of the RLA test is the Extended Response. You will be given two passages that present opposing viewpoints on a specific topic. Your task is to write an essay analyzing which viewpoint is better supported by evidence. You are given exactly 45 minutes for this section.

Timing

You have a total of 150 minutes (2.5 hours) to complete the entire RLA test. This time includes a 10-minute break just before you start the Extended Response section.
